Current Makeup Update #1

Hello dear readers,
Over the course of time, I have noticed that my everyday makeup changes after a few months. This is due to new products I’m using or feeling the need to change things up a bit. Today I will show you my current favourite makeup!

I begin with my current favourite primer, the Catrice Prime and Fine primer. I don’t use primer every day since it tends to break out my skin but when I do, I gravitate towards this one since it helps the longevity of my foundation and other products but also with minimising my pores. Great product for a great price!

Foundation wise I adore the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy and Smooth foundation in 110. It’s great for everyday wear, evens out my face and leaves a beautiful soft dewy finish. I’m not very fond of a matte finish when it comes to foundations since my skin is rather on the dry side.

To set my foundation in place, I use the Essence All About Matte Compact Fixing Powder. Nothing too special. It sets the foundation and helps with the longevity of the foundation and the blendability of other products like a bronzer.

The Catrice Pro Contour palette in Ashy Radiance is still my favourite contour/bronzer shade. I accidentally dropped my Wet N Wild bronzer and it fell to pieces. Since then, I have been a bit apprehensive to buy a new one because it’s really hard to find one that isn’t too orange.

Highlight, highlight, highlight. I have quite a few in my collection but my current favourite is the W7 Glowcomotion or the highlight that comes in the Catrice contour palette. Both natural but stunning all the same!

Finally the eyes, the part that has changed the most. I start with priming my eyes with the Essence I Love Colour Intensifying Eyeshadow Base. It has a slight colour so it cancels out any redness or veins and it helps with the blendability of the shades I’m going to apply. Next, I’m using my Anastasia Beverly Hills palette in Modern Renaissance. Out of this palette, I will apply Tempera as a base. Next, I apply a mixture of Raw Sienna and Burnt ย Orange on the lid with a light hand in the crease. On the lid, I apply Venetian Red, my favourite colour out of this palette and going back in with the mixture of RS and BO in the crease to avoid any harsh lines. Last but not least, I take Primavera on a tiny brush and apply it on the inner corners.

Brows, such an important part of makeup. I will not say too much about this product since a review will be posted in a few days. The product I’ve used the last couple of weeks is the Freedom Brow Pomade in Medium Brown. I like my brows to look a bit feathery, so I also use the Essence Brow Gel in Brownie Brows.ย

To finish off the eyes, we use mascara and in my everyday life, I have been using the L’Orรฉal Baby Rollย or the Maybelline Lash Sensational.ย

For lips, I have been using a few lippies. It’s either Nyx butter gloss in Tiramisu, Wet ‘N Wild Megalast lipstick in Bare it All or MAC matte lipstick in Mehr. In the pictures down below I am wearing the NYX gloss in Tiramisu.

That’s it for my first makeup update! The next one will probably be in a few weeks since we are transitioning to autumn (finally!!!) What do you think?
Lots of love and see you next time!
