Essence Made To Sparkle Highlighting and Transforming Prismatic Palette

Essence is going all out with their Made to Sparkle collection, which is now available in stores! The entire theme throughout the collection is sparkles, shimmers, and glitters. Fun Fun Fun as they say! Most of the products didn’t really catch my attention, except one on the shelves. The Essence Highlighting and Transforming Palette! Let’s review!

The palette is called the Essence Made To Sparkle Highlighting and Transforming Prismatic Palette in the shade 01 Don’t Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle. I really like the shade name because it fits with the collection, the theme and the type of product, but the meaning of the name is also very beautiful and heart touching.

Essence says this is a palette with four pastel shades with a prismatic finish that you can use on the eyes, lips, and cheeks. The darker you make your base colour, the more prismatic the effect will be. I am curious! It does remind me of the Kat Von D Alchemist palette. So this might be a very cheap dupe indeed!

The packaging is quite flimsy but I do not mind that at all for the cheap price. It comes in a plastic black packaging with a transparent lid. I do like products with a transparent lid because you can immediately see what’s inside and that fits with my curious nature. The palette has small golden details, like diamonds and the font. On the back of the palette, you will be able to find some information on how to use the palette. However, the ingredients are not mentioned.

The formula is kind of strange. It does not feel like a cream but it’s also not too dry and crumbly. It’s between those two. The highlighters do apply really seamlessly and are easy to blend. The pigmentation is really good, especially for the price! Yet, the lavender/blue and the pink shade do need some building up. The highlighters last a fair amount of time and fade in slowly throughout the day. Sadly, that is only the case when you apply them to the cheeks. Application on the eyes and lips doesn’t last that long and fades after about 2-3 hours. Last but not least, these highlighters do not contain glitter! The sheen looks natural and luminous!

Important to remember: the colours look a lot more vibrant in real life.CSC_2032CSC_2029

The highlighters might look quite dull at first glance, but I can assure you that that is not the case at all! The palette gives you great diversity in colour and is fun to play with! My favourite highlighter out of this palette is definitely the golden shade! The highlighters look glowy and traceless on the skin.

The Essence Made to Sparkle Highlighting and Transforming palette is definitely a bargain and I would recommend buying when you feel the need to play around with something different! Essence really outperformed themselves with this little palette and showed they can create special things!
What do you think of the little quad of highlighters? And remember don’t let anyone dull your sparkle!
Lots of love and see you next time!

  1. These came to our stores 2 months ago, but sadly I didn’t pick anything up, I was trying to stay away from makeup haha. But luckly I got something similar to this palette in Essence thank you box. I always need limited edition products, they are just perfect for collecting and they definitely feel more special. xx
