Hey loves,
So today I will review a very exciting product. I never tried bPerfect before and many people swear by the OG Carnival palette. Buckle up for a review with some thoughts and many colourful looks!
It’s quite a large palette. Probably the largest palette in my collection. The palette contains 40 shadows and 3 highlighters. The palette is also cruelty-free but I can’t find if it’s vegan. So I don’t think it is. The bPerfect Carnival XL Pro palette retails for โฌ46,95 but I got it for โฌ44 because I had a little discount on my Beauty Bay order (See August Low Buy Haul). Not a lot but still something. The OG Carnival palette has 24 shadows and 2 highlighters for the price of โฌ44,95. So, I felt like the XL pro was a better bargain haha.
Every vertical row of the palette is a little colour scheme of its own. You have orange-red, red-pink, purple, mauve, blue-green, true blue, warm neutral and cool neutral shades. I also think that every two rows are a colour scheme. You have your warm tones, purples, blues and neutrals. Overall, the colour scheme is amazing and I love it. You have a lot of options and variety.
The mattes in the palette are quite dry and a little dusty but extremely saturated. So the dustiness isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The formula reminds me of Juvia’s Place palettes. It’s also a formula that works very well on a wet tacky base and the pigmentation is extremely saturated. You only need a tiny bit of product and the shades blend very well. Some shades like ‘Boy Bye’ or ‘Reckless’ are less saturated but easy to build up. Because the formula of the mattes is quite dry, you have to start with the darkest shade to prevent patchiness. I know this isn’t a technique that everyone likes, so I just wanted to mention it.
The shimmers are definitely metallic and gorgeous. I sometimes feel like they look better applied with a finger or used wet on the eyes. It’s a bit lacklustre with a brush. The fall out is minimal. I really enjoy most of these shades and again, I really think of the Juvia’s Place formula.
The formula of the highlighters is very smooth and quite intense. Obviously, only one shade ‘Fairplay’ suits my skin tone. The other shades ‘Gold Lux’ and ‘Over It’ are way too dark for me but I can use them as eyeshadows. The shades are quite lovely. Fairplay has a nice golden shift when it hits the light. I really love this shade. I also quite like the way it looks on the skin. It can be an intense highlight or a little sheen.

Although the formula is quite dry, the pigmentation and blendability don’t suffer because of it. The shimmers are a pop of colour on the eyes, even though you might want to wet your brush or apply them with your fingers. The formula is reminiscent of Juvia’s Place and I really enjoy that formula and thus also this one. I think I will be on the look-out for new palettes by bPerfect because theย Stacey Marie Carnival XL Pro is a real beauty.
The Bperfect X Stacey Marie Carnival XL Pro palette retails for โฌ46,95. Lots of love and see you next time!
