The Inkey List has been a brand that’s been in the spotlight for the last few months and I’ve definitely been interested in a few products. One of them recently launched and came to Cult Beauty. So, without further ado, the The Inkey List Sunscreen.
So, sunscreen is definitely one of the essentials within every skincare routine or just in general. If you want to make sure that your skin stays safe, wear sunscreen! I do want to put a little disclaimer that I’m not a chemist or expert in skincare or ingredients, so I can only tell you how this product worked for me. I don’t want to spread information or knowledge that ends up being wrong. So this is how the sunscreen worked for my skin type. Btw, I have dry skin and am also dehydrated. I struggle with some acne, dry patches, fine lines and pigmentation from fading pimples. My skin tends to burn quickly.
I have to be honest, sunscreen is not one of my favourite skincare products. Even worse, I haven’t consistently worn sunscreen since the last few months. Sunscreen is meant to be applied every single day and preferably multiple times a day to prevent aging and damage to the skin. Ever since gaining that information, I have been applying sunscreen like my life depends on it. Before that, I used to only wear sunscreen when it was really sunny outside. Big mistake.
I don’t like sunscreen because most of them are really greasy and oily on my skin and even though I have dry skin. Greasy is not a look I like to go for, you know? I spend a lot of time browsing the internet looking for some nice sunscreen who didn’t give me that feeling. Contrary to a lot of people though, I really like the smell of sunscreen, so that’s not something that bothers me.

Formula
The formula is really nice. It’s quite thick and whipped but it also has a density to it. It’s not liquid at all like most sunscreens and it spreads easily onto the face. This sunscreen is not too emollient though which is nice because it doesn’t feel greasy. Other than that, it feels quite lightweight and breathable on the skin and it absorbs quickly. All in all, the formula is really nice and I like it for everyday wear.
One more thing, I would’ve liked this one to be SPF50 instead of SPF30. It’s just that little bit more of protection and apparently there can be a huge difference between the two SPF’s.
However..
The The Inkey List SPF30 Sunscreen has a tint to it. This tint is meant to prevent the white cast that most sunscreens give and it makes the sunscreen more inclusive for different skin tones which is amazing. The tint blends out really well and looks almost transparent on the skin. If you have pale skin, like myself, you have to be careful when applying this. I tend to notice that you need to blend this out really well otherwise some patches will become darker than you want. It can leave a patchy hue on the skin. Especially in the neck area, you need to blend really well. So it’s not necessarily fuss free for the pale skin people like myself.
That’s it for the review on the The Inkey List SPF 30. I really like this sunscreen and have been rotating between this and the La Roche-Posay one that I like. Do make sure to blend this out really well though or you might end up with some random orange patches on the neck, haha.
