Kosas The Sun Show Moisturizing Baked Bronzer

A moisturising bronzer? I never thought I would ever see the day that this product would exist. But alas, Kosas decided to grace our lives with the The Sun Show Moisturizing Baked Bronzer. What’s the deal with this bronzer? And is it moisturising?

DETAILS

Kosas Cosmetics is a clean beauty brand which I have reviewed before. I’m a big fan of their Revealer Concealer (review here) and the Color & Light: Creme in Velvet Melon (review here). My experience with the brand has been really amicable. I was making my wishlist for my Black Friday purchases and Julia Adams (Youtube Channel) talked about this bronzer and raved about it. So obviously, I decided to put it on the list and bought it asap. Very impulsive, haha.

The Kosas The Sun Show Moisturizing Baked Bronzer retails for $34, which is about Β£36, €32. It contains 6 grams of product. For comparison, the Fenty Sun Stalk’r bronzer has 6,23 grams ($30) and the Nabla Skin Bronzing has 6,5 grams for ($24). So, I think it’s a reasonable price. There are three shades available which is obviously not enough. But I like to give them a pass, personally, because they’re a relatively new and small brand. I hope they extend it in the future though.

PACKAGING

The packaging of the bronzer is a translucent plastic compact in a sea foam green colour. The colour reminds me of those coca cola bottles which are occasionally green, you know what I mean? Or am I just weird.

I’ve noticed that Kosas doesn’t have a typical, recognazible branded packaging and each product seems to be a different type of style. Right now, I like each aesthetic but I don’t know how I will like it when they branch out in different products. I really like the translucency and colour of the packaging. It has something really cool.

FORMULA

The formula is very thin and definitely a baked formula. It’s also incredibly soft and therefore, it blends really easily. Even whilst swatching, it blended without issue with my fingers. Despite it being so soft and thin, it doesn’t fade very fast and has really good longevity. This formula definitely has a lot of shimmer in it. So, steer clear if you don’t like that. However, because of it you get a very natural appearance due to its shine on the skin. It’s not flatlooking and looks realistic. But in the sunlight, you might end up looking a bit weird.

As for the moisturising aspect, I don’t really notice it. I also think it’s kind of bogus to think that a powder can moisturise your face. Because it’s powder haha. But it doesn’t cling to any dry patches areas on my face and doesn’t turn muddy.

SWATCHES

I have to say that this formula is quite pigmented and the shade Light Soft Bronze can be a bit orange on my skintone. So I would advise not applying too much of this product as you can overdo it really quickly.

That’s it for today’s post! I really enjoy the packaging and formula of this bronzer. However, I have to be a bit careful with the pigmentation and the sheen of this product. Nevertheless, this looks pretty good on the face! The Kosas Moisturising Bronzer is available here.

Lots of love and see you next time!
