Huda Beauty Rich Nude Obsessions Palette

Hey loves and welcome back to today’s review!
In today’s post we will be reviewing the Huda Beauty Rich Nude Obsessions Palette. A palette full of mattes and shimmers which should give you a monochromatic look. I’m interested, so let’s go and review this baby!

DETAILS

The Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions palettes are wildly loved by many. I fell in love with the Rich Nude one when I was browsing the Cult Beauty website during Black Friday late November. I quickly snatched it up as you could see in my Very Late Black Friday Haul video. Nevertheless, I took my time to gather my thoughts and today I want to share them!

The Huda Beauty Rich Nude Obsessions palette retails for £27 which is about €30. I got it on sale and I think I paid about €22,5. So I really liked that haha. You get nine shades with a matte or shimmer formula. It contains 9.9 grams of product. The palette itself is definitely smaller than what we’re used to these days. But it’s really handy for in your purse or travelling once that becomes possible again. I don’t really mind the size of the palette.

FORMULA

I had never tried Huda Beauty’s eyeshadow formula before. I was never really interested in her palettes, until this one. The colour scheme looks delicious with lots of warm, pinkish browns and shimmery golds. A lot of people swear by her formula so I was intrigued to try it for myself!

Now loves, this is a beautiful eyeshadow formula. The mattes are really creamy, quite pigmented and blend really nicely. In terms of blending, these are definitely in my top three of favourite formulas. It’s just so easy. There’s no patchiness and all of the shades flow into eachother beautifully. The mattes are pigmented but buildable at the same time. The pigmentation will be difficult for eyeshadow beginners but the ease of blending will get you there in no time. There’s also not a lot of fall out.

The shimmers are also really pretty. Shimmery and pack a punch, but don’t look of feel crepey on the eyes. I think they would look beautiful on young and aged skin. They feel smooth to the touch and apply with ease. I do recommend applying the shimmers with a finger or a fluffy packing brush. Don’t use a very dense brush because it will be harder to pick up the shimmer and get the full impact. Some of the shimmers seem to have some extra sparkle to them, which is truly beautiful.

SWATCHES

The colours in this palette is really beautiful. I love the warmth this palette radiates. The beautiful warm brownish pinks and metallics with gold, bronze and dusty rose speaks to the soul. It’s beautiful and you can create looks from very smokey to appropriate for everyday wear. The only thing that I sometimes struggle with is the creativity with this palette. It’s one tone of colour in different variations which makes creating different looks a bit difficult. But that’s a makeup blogger problem.

LOOK

I think this palette is stunning. The shades are beautiful and definitely appropriate for different skin tones. From daily makeup to smokey makeup, it can do both and in a beautiful brown pink hue. The quality is amazing and very beginner to expert friendly. The shimmers have a beautiful sparkle and the mattes are easy to work with. Everything you might want is there!

That’s it for today’s post. I really like this palette and definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a beautiful pinky brown everyday palette that’s able to make it smokey. The palette is available here. Lots of love and see you soon!

    1. Oh really? I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews on her big palettes. Some said that these ‘new’ mini’s are better than before so that’s cool though. Thanks for reading btw! xx
