Hey loves,
Today I want to introduce you to the “Lunar Has It” blush by Colourpop Cosmetics in collaboration with Kathleen Lights. I saw this a few months ago and decided to invest the money and see if it could be my perfect blush shade!
So before we begin, I am still on my no-buy (which is going great, haven’t bought a single product!) and this was bought before the No Buy. Remember when I told you I was still waiting for some products to arrive? This is one of them, together with some other Colourpop products. I order via a group on Facebook and it usually takes a month to arrive at my doorstep. The disclaimer is done, let’s start the review!
The packaging is really plain and simple. It’s just the pan with product pressed into it. You can buy a compact to put the blush in, but I didn’t want to spend the money and I have a z-palette with some other individual blushes and a bronzer. So no compact, but the option is available if you want one. You get six grams of product for the price of seven dollars. Very cheap in comparison to other blushes. I think I bought it during one of their -20% promotions, so it was even cheaper than $7.
The ‘Lunar Has It’ pressed powder blush is part of another collaboration from Colourpop and Kathleen Lights. I love Kathleen Lights and I don’t mind her collaborations with Colourpop. Colourpop is cheap, they do release way too much, but their products are beautiful. I was looking for a nude blush that looks a lot like MAC Warm Soul. Quite warm and peachy but with a hint of pink. My Hourglass blush in Brilliant Nude (review here) is very close but the one I own has a lot of shimmer. I still love it though. I saw this blush and immediately thought it would be a good dupe and if not, a blush that I would love nevertheless.
Lunar Has It is a beautiful neutral mid-toned nude shade. It leans more towards the orange side of the spectrum but it has a nice neutral tone, so it doesn’t look too orange. It can look quite intimidating and way too dark for fair skin tones, but it will work if applied lightly. I love this shade so so so much. It’s definitely not a dupe for Warm Soul because it’s way too yellow-orange. But I love this shade because it’s quite unique. It’s not too pink and not too peachy. It’s almost like a bronzer-blush and I love it.
The formula is also really lovely. You have to be careful when dipping the brush in the product because the pigment is INTENSE. However, it’s a-okay when you tap off the excess. When applied on the cheeks, it blends out very nicely and the brush distributes the product beautifully. It gives the cheeks a nice flushed appearance without looking like a clown.
That’s it for my review of this beautiful, affordable blush by Colourpop Cosmetics. The Kathleen Lights x Colourpop Lunar Has It blush is available on colourpop.com for only seven dwollahs $! What do you think of this blush? What’s your favourite blush?
Lots of love and see you soon!
