Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez, a makeup brand which many doubted when first announced. I think I can say that almost a year later, those same people (including myself) have come to love the brand, it’s innovation and genuine love for makeup. Let’s review the OG blushes, the Soft Pinch Blush in Joy & Bliss.

Details
The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Blush is described as a airy and lightweight liquid formula. It’s supposed to blend and build effortlessly with long-lasting color pigments. Mistake-proof and should layer beautifully over liquid and powder formulas. It’s available in a matte and dewy finishes. I have the shades Bliss, which is a matte, and Joy which is a dewy finish.
There’s 7,5 ml in each cilindric tube (lol) and there are 8 shades available. I think Joy and Bliss are the most popular shades though. It’s also cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free and suitable for sensitive skin. The Soft Pinch Blush retails for $20 and is available on Rare Beauty’ website and Sephora (Also Sephora France).
Formula
This blush has grown on me since trying it for the first time. I was scared by the pigmentation at first but now that I know how to work with it, it’s become one of my favourites. So let’s get this straight, it’s really highly saturated and there’s a bit of a learning curve with it. The matte blush (Bliss) feels more mousy than the dewy blush (Joy) which feels more creamy. Both dry down, rather quickly, to a powdery finish which looks a lot like a cheek tint. Beautiful.
They also have a natural finish. The matte one is more matte but doesn’t look dry. The dewy has a bit of a sheen but isn’t too greasy or oily looking. I love the lightweight feel. Truly not heavy at all and you can barely feel it’s there.
Application & lasting time
My favourite way of applying this is NOT directly from the applicator because dude, that’s just too much product. I like to wipe the excess product on the back of mine hand and then apply it from the hand – on a brush – on the face. The picture below is for blog-demonstration purposes haha. You can also apply it from the applicator to the face but one a tiny dot is enough.

Look
The Soft Pinch Blush retails for $20 and is available on Rare Beauty’ website and Sephora (Also Sephora France). And with that I would like to round up my review on these blushes. I really like these blushes despite the intense pigmentation and I really like using them.
Lots of love and see you next time!
